the two-bench cul de sac welcomes you to the park

Benches____

There are eight "sitting" areas in the park with twelve benches. All, but three, have water bowls. People and their dogs tend to congregate in these areas. Those at the "head" of the park, on the paved walk "cul de sac" and in the western mid-park are the most popular.

Three benches were installed by Mill Valley Park and Rec when the park was created in 1995 and two were were placed by John Dellatorre's family in his memory. All others were built or purchased by park users and donated.

← On January 6, 2009, the first of three planned-for new "amazon" benches  was placed.  A second was placed on January 13.  These are assembled from kits and may, over time, become the Park "standard".  Click on bench 1 or 2 for more pictures ↓

Everything from parties to politics happens on or near these two hand-made wooden benches. They were built by a park regular six years ago. His gifts are perhaps the most used part of the park.
