Oh, what is the matter with poor
Puggy-Wug? Pet him and kiss him and give him a hug. Run and fetch him a suitable drug. Wrap him up tenderly
all in a rug. That is the way to cure Puggy-Wug. ~ Winston Churchill _________________________________________________ MARIN EMERGENCY SERVICE The Pet Emergency and Specialty

Of all the things I miss from veterinary practice,
puppy breath is one of the most fond memories! ~ Dr. Tom Cat
UC DAVIS
I
have used the Veterinary Hospital at UC Davis
for many years and cannot say enough
good about it. Regardless of what you may hear, the service is excellent and usually "state-of-the-art". They
often know about and perform procedures that local Vets may not know about or are reluctant to do. People bring
their pets to Davis from all over the
US. Their rates are actually lower than Marin and, because your dog is first examined by veterinary interns and then
by a teaching Vet who may be a world expert, you get at least two opinions and often more. Davis will work with
your local doctor via telephone, fax and online for continuing or follow-up activity. They may do the "heavy"
work and your local vet picks up from there. The small animal hospital at Davis may startle you as it is as large or larger than many human hospitals and has major departments: oncology, dermatology, cardiology, ophthalmology, dentistry,
etc. You can either make an appointment there yourself or your local Vet can make a referral for you.
If
your dog has a serious problem, this is where you want to go. Some believe it's the best veterinary hospital on Earth. It's 73 miles and about 90 minutes each way from Mill Valley on I-80. 1-530-752-1393
