←Unfortunately, unlike most of the area, we don't have many of these in the Park.  The Golden Poppy is the California State Flower.

Ice Plants, native to South Africa, were placed alongside the Bike Path, but have crept into the Park's western edge.  Both their purple and white flowers appear.

All eighteen of the trees in the Park were planted fourteen years ago and have long since reached their maximum height.  Tree growth is limited in the Park, as there is a salt underlayer,  the result of bay water being absorbed.  In spite of that, the five pines make a valiant effort every spring to grow and prosper.  Their candles are exceptionally dense this year.

The leaves on the mid-Park trees began as small buds in January.  Now, they provide some of the only shade in the Park.
